Videos don't play or stutter
Formats and sizes that play well everywhere.
- Use MP4 with H.264 video and AAC sound. It plays on every device.
- Keep the resolution at the screen's size: 1920×1080 for Full HD screens. 4K videos need a strong player.
- Keep the bitrate reasonable (8–12 Mbit/s for Full HD).
- Old smart TV browsers may not play WebM or MOV; convert them to MP4.
- A video that stops at the start may still be downloading: check the content status on the screen's page.
Free tools such as HandBrake convert any video to MP4 H.264 with the "Fast 1080p30" preset.
