Frequently asked questions
What do I need to start?
A screen with a web browser (most smart TVs, a computer, a Raspberry Pi or an Android TV box) and an internet connection. Create an account, open the player on the screen and pair it with the code it shows.
Do screens need internet all the time?
No. Screens download their content and keep playing it without internet. When the connection comes back, they get your latest changes by themselves.
Which files can I upload?
Images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG, AVIF), videos (MP4, WebM, MOV) and documents (PDF, PowerPoint). For videos, MP4 with H.264 works best on every device.
How fast do changes reach the screens?
Within seconds. Screens that are online get a signal as soon as you save a change.
Can different screens show different things?
Yes. Each screen has a default playlist, and schedules can play other playlists on some screens, groups of screens or all of them, at set times.
Can I see what a screen shows without going there?
Yes. The Screens page shows a live picture of each screen. Open a screen to watch it update every few seconds, take a screenshot, reload it or turn it off.
Can my colleagues use the same account?
Yes. Invite them in Team and choose their role: administrator, editor, viewer or a role you define. You can also limit a person to some screens or playlists.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes: StageXI Screen, for iPhone and Android. It does almost everything the web panel does, puts a photo from your gallery on a screen in a few taps and notifies you when a screen goes offline.
What happens when the trial ends?
Choose a plan in Account & plan. Nothing is lost: your screens, files, playlists and schedules stay as they are.
Where is my data kept? Is it safe?
On our servers, over encrypted connections. Each account is completely separate, passwords are stored encrypted and every file link is signed. We never sell or share your content.
Can I use it for advertising?
Yes. Proof-of-play reports show what played, where and how often, and each advertiser can get a private link to their own report.
Do you work with LED walls and unusual screens?
Yes. You can set a custom display area in pixels for LED panels fed by one player, and choose the shape of widgets (16:9, 21:9 or square).
