Smart TVs and browsers
The simplest player: open one address in the TV's browser. Nothing to install.
The player is a web page, so it runs in the browser of most smart TVs and in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on any device.
Set it up
- Open the TV's web browser.
- Go to the player address shown on the Download page (it ends in
/player/). - The screen shows a pairing code. Pair it in the panel.
- Put the browser in full screen, if the TV has that option.
Good to know
- The player stores your content on the device and keeps playing without internet. See Offline playback.
- Some TV browsers stop pages after a while or when the TV goes to sleep. For screens that run all day, prefer the Windows app, the Android TV app or a ready-made player.
- Turn off the TV's energy saving and sleep timers.
- Browsers can't restart the device or be controlled remotely; those controls appear only with our apps.
A computer with Chrome in kiosk mode also works well: open the player address with the --kiosk option.
